A small, member-only community pilot — manually reviewed and consent-based. Not a public launch.

SQ SkillsBoard

Discover what's already in the room — skills, resources, ideas, contacts, practical help, and goodwill.

A simple member-powered board for offers, asks, skills, introductions, and shared resources.

How it works

Member-powered, staff-held, consent-based

Nothing is automated. SQ staff hold the board by hand, and nothing moves without both members saying yes.

  1. You submit an offer or ask. Share what you can offer, or what you're looking for.
  2. SQ staff review it. A quick check for clarity, fit, and safety.
  3. It's added to the board. Listed for members — anonymised if you'd prefer.
  4. Another member is interested. They let SQ staff know.
  5. Both sides agree. SQ staff check in with each of you first.
  6. Contact is shared, then a light follow-up. Only after both consent — and a gentle check-in after.

What keeps the board a good place to be

SQ SkillsBoard isn't for: sales spam or aggressive pitching; MLM or recruitment schemes; investment solicitation, money lending, or equity/partnership pressure; unpaid labour extraction; formal legal, medical, financial, therapy, or counselling advice; confidential client or business information shared without consent; crisis or mental-health emergencies; dating or companionship requests; harassment or repeated follow-ups; public shaming or ratings; job promises or employment guarantees; or high-pressure networking.

Every listing is reviewed by SQ staff, and contact is only ever shared when both members agree.

About this pilot

SQ's own community experiment

SQ SkillsBoard is a small, member-only pilot for SQ Collective — a way to help the space feel less like somewhere people rent and more like a community people belong to. It runs on the Our Neighbourhood Library framework by Compassion Collectif SG, adapted gently for SQ.

The underlying framework, workflow, and safety guidelines are provided by Compassion Collectif SG. SQ Collective runs this pilot and owns its member data and operations. Continued use beyond the pilot is something we'd talk through together, separately.
